  2. Turn-and-Talk: \u00a0Answer this question: \u00a0If you were using this evidence about “listening to music,” \u00a0which categories could use either position as a counterargument?<\/li>\n
  3. Independent Study: \u00a0Read the exemplar of a “counterargument-rebuttal.” \u00a0What is the author’s position? \u00a0What is the critic’s position? \u00a0Use “key terms.” \u00a0Which sentence is the transition?<\/li>\n
  4. Share Out: \u00a0What is the “key term” that shows the author’s position? \u00a0Critic’s?<\/li>\n
  5. Independent Study: \u00a0Title a separate sheet of paper “Insert.” \u00a0Begin writing the counterargument-rebuttal paragraph by following the steps on the Promethean Board. \u00a0Write up until the transition sentence. \u00a0Students may use the bellwork evidence. \u00a0The “Insert” page will be stapled to the matching body paragraph.<\/li>\n
  6. Independent Study: \u00a0Students will write the second draft of their essays continuing from where they stopped work at the introduction paragraph.<\/li>\n
