Objective<\/strong>: \u00a0I can review books from three different genres and then select one book from the prescribed shelves to be confirmed by the teacher and checked-out with the librarian.<\/p>\n

Activities<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. \u00a0Promethean Board: \u00a0Visual of book pass form and book survey form will be explained along with the progression of activities to occur in the library.<\/li>\n
  2. Mr. Pantaleo’s presentation: \u00a0Once students are seated at their prospective tables, the librarian will review the genres at different stations.<\/li>\n
  3. Book Pass: Students will be given 2 minutes\/book to complete each row in the book pass for a given book in the genre. \u00a0Four books from each genre will be reviewed in this manner.<\/li>\n
  4. Book Acquisition: \u00a0Students will be directed to use the “biography” and fiction sections.<\/li>\n
  5. Book Confirmation: \u00a0After selecting a book, students will require a teacher’s signature of approval on the book survey form.<\/li>\n
  6. Book Checkout: \u00a0Students will checkout their books before the bell.<\/li>\n
  7. Reminder<\/strong>: \u00a0HW: \u00a0Ensure that your book pass\/book survey form is completed. \u00a0For the survey, students must<\/strong> acquire a book from the DHS library to receive credit. In addition, bring your SSR book tomorrow along with the book you have read this past summer.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
