{"id":2082,"date":"2017-05-22T09:02:13","date_gmt":"2017-05-22T13:02:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/sapienp\/?p=2082"},"modified":"2017-05-22T09:16:11","modified_gmt":"2017-05-22T13:16:11","slug":"may-22-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/sapienp\/2017\/05\/22\/may-22-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"May 22, 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Objective<\/strong>: \u00a0I can determine how the issue of stereotypes and prejudices are resolved in the last scene of TKAM by participating in sharing out and answering the test questions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BW<\/strong>: \u00a0As students view the last scene, they will identify through actions and dialogue how Scout has learned her lesson and write their responses in their notebooks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Activities<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0Share Out: \u00a0What does Scout say to show her lesson learned? \u00a0What is an action? \u00a0How does her lesson relate to Boo? \u00a0Is he a mockingbird? \u00a0How is Scout&#8217;s change of heart from the story&#8217;s beginning related to stereotypes? \u00a0What does Harper Lee teach us in this novel about stereotypes and prejudices through Boo and Tom?<\/li>\n<li>Use this understanding to complete the Unit Test for\u00a0<em>TKAM<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>SSR: \u00a0When students have completed the test, they will add inferences(T-Chart entries) for their SSR reading.<\/li>\n<li>When all students have completed the test, the\u00a0<em>TKAM<\/em> books will be collected.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Reminder<\/strong>: \u00a0Retakes and Make-up Tests are tomorrow(Tues.
