The FDA has approved the Pfizer vaccine for children 12 years of age and older.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dearborn Public Schools is partnering with the Detroit Medical Center to bring a mobile vaccine distribution site to Salina Intermediate School for students 12 years and older.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Parents may register their child to receive the Pfizer vaccine on May 26th at the Salina Intermediate School site. Parents can also sign up to receive the vaccine if interested.  Reminder, your child MUST be 12 years of age or older to get the vaccine. Appointments will be scheduled between 8 a.m. – 5p.m.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A parent or guardian MUST attend with the student if the student is younger than 18 years old.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second dose will be administered on June 16th at Salina Intermediate School. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After you register, DMC will call to schedule a specific appointment time that day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although we understand parents have personal choice when it comes to the well being of their child, the District strongly feels that all measures to slow the spread of COVID 19, including vaccinations, are the best way to promote overall health and safety in our community and the surest path to a return to in person learning for all students.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
