Most students can identify George Washington, James Madison, and maybe even Alexander Hamilton. What about the other fifty-two delegates? Who were they? How did they influence the convention? In this quest, you will familiarize yourself with the delegates by listening to a series of 60-Second Civics podcast episodes devoted to the Framers of the Constitution.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step1: <\/strong>You have been given a set of clues to identify nine delegates to the Constitutional Convention that was held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the summer of 1787.\u00a0 In order to complete your task you need the clues provided and podcasts from the Center for Civic Education.\u00a0 The podcasts are available at <a href=\"https:\/\/civiced.org\/framers\">https:\/\/civiced.org\/framers<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2<\/strong>:\u00a0 You have been assigned a certain number of podcasts.\u00a0 You are going to use eight <a href=\"https:\/\/civiced.org\/framers\">60-second Civics podcasts<\/a> to help you learn about the Framers of the Constitution and identify six of the Framers using your clues.\u00a0 In listening to them you should be able to determine which six delegates your clues indicate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3<\/strong>:\u00a0 As soon as you think you have identified the delegates, check with Ms. Abraham or Ms. Ahmad to see if you are correct.\u00a0 If you are correct, you have completed your quest.\u00a0 If you are not correct, continue listening until you found the correct delegates.<\/p>\n<p>The podcasts you are assigned are the following:<\/p>\n<p>* John Lansing Jr.<\/p>\n<p>* George Mason<\/p>\n<p>* James Madison<\/p>\n<p>* Alexander Hamilton<\/p>\n<p>* Oliver Ellsworth<\/p>\n<p>* William Samuel Johnson<\/p>\n<p>* Edmond Randolf<\/p>\n<p>* John Blair<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Constitution Scavenger Hunt with 60-Second Civics Fifty-five delegates were present at the Constitutional Convention, which was held in Philadelphia in the summer of 1787.
