As you know we will be off from December 23rd until we return on January 6th. We understand it will be a busy time at home getting together with family and friends. We\u2019d like to emphasize the importance of reading each day over the break from their book bags. With the days that we\u2019re off, students can fall behind in reading if they don\u2019t read daily. Report cards<\/strong> and NWEA<\/strong> testing will take place soon after we return in January. It would be a shame if the students returned to school on January 6th, with less knowledge than they left with. We recommend that your child read for 20 minutes a day. In addition, please visit our blogs and click on any of the links to practice literacy and math. Finally, students can write about anything fun or exciting that you do over the break with your family, such as a vacation, soccer, baking and\/or holiday gatherings.
