Your child should make his\/her lunch choice in\nthe morning.&nbsp; Please discuss the options\non the lunch menu with your child so they will be aware of his\/her lunch\nchoice.&nbsp; <\/li><li>Each\nchild may bring a healthy snack to eat around 10 o\u2019clock.&nbsp; Children should not bring candy or\nsweets.&nbsp; These items will be sent back\nhome with your child.&nbsp; Individually\nsliced items such as fruits and vegetables are recommended.&nbsp; Other items such as goldfish, crackers,\npretzels, cheese, yogurt, or fruit snacks are acceptable.<\/li><li>Your\nchild may bring a small water bottle to keep in their desk.&nbsp; I recommend the kind with the pull-up top to\nhelp reduce any accidental spills.&nbsp; Also,\nplease label the bottle clearly with your child\u2019s name.&nbsp; <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Specials:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please\nprovide your child with a pair of gym shoes to wear during physical education\n(Gym) on Tuesday!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Homework<\/strong><strong>:&nbsp;&nbsp; \n \n<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\nwill begin sending homework for your child later this month.&nbsp; I have provided a homework folder for your\nchild and s\/he should bring this to school each day.&nbsp; In addition, your child should read for 20\nminutes each night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Classroom Behavior:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\nbelieve that each child is responsible for his\/her own behavior.&nbsp; The PBIS classroom management program allows\nchildren to make behavioral choices in school.&nbsp;\nStudents who choose appropriate behavior will be rewarded in a positive\nmanner that helps develop self-esteem and responsibility.&nbsp; Students who choose inappropriate behavior\nwill be subjected to consequences outlined in our class PBIS plan, and will be\nencouraged to make a better choices in the future.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\nhave a great year ahead of us! We\u2019ll be reviewing a lot, learning even more,\nworking on lots of projects and of course having tons of fun along the way! I\nlook forward to meeting all of you and I am excited to be part of your child\u2019s\nacademic journey this school year!
