{"id":907,"date":"2018-12-09T18:36:31","date_gmt":"2018-12-09T23:36:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/sabbaghela\/?p=907"},"modified":"2018-12-09T18:38:38","modified_gmt":"2018-12-09T23:38:38","slug":"907","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/sabbaghela\/2018\/12\/09\/907\/","title":{"rendered":"Life is just a bowl of cherries&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The adage, &#8220;If you don&#8217;t stand for something, you&#8217;ll fall for anything.&#8221; is famously attributed to many people, notably Malcolm X, Alexander Hamilton, Peter Marshall, and more.<\/p>\n<p>Having students write argumentative essays goes beyond essential standards and honing writing skills.\u00a0 It also demands that students be critical examiners of an issue, and that&#8217;s not easy stuff.<\/p>\n<p>As I begin grading the argumentative essays (which were turned in this past week), I look forward to discovering more about what our students are passionate about.
