Send me a photo of your artwork when you are done and upload it to google classrooom so you can receive credit for it. Do not turn in your assignment before you send a photo of it. Many students are turning in the assignmnet without attachment. I need to see the photo of your artwork in order to grade it. I am sharing a video on google classrom with the assignment showing you how to take a photo and upload it in google classroom. Your participation counts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please, include the name of the student and the teacher\u2019s name when you share a picture of the artwork by email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please do the assignments for your grade level only if your google classroom has more than one grade in it. The assignment of this week is due June 1, 2020. I accept late work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Third, fourth and fifth grades: Students are going to draw and color a Piet Mondrian inspired Abstract animal.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Piet Mondrian : Piet Mondrian is a Dutch artist best known for his abstract paintings. Art that is abstract does not show things that are recognizable such as people, objects or landscapes. Instead artists use colors, shapes and textures to achieve their effect. He chose to work with the primary colors- red, blue and yellow AND black and grey only!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Start off by drawing a simplified outline of an animal of your choice. Do not include any details within the body other than a simple eye. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Add vertical an horizontal lines within the animal body using a ruler. (Remember, parallel lines are ones that are the same distance from each other- they don\u2019t cross! You will use vertical AND horizontal lines which will cross.)
-Color the squares and the rectangles with red, yellow, blue, black and grey. Leave some white for some of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Start with a symmetrical face, and then adds an easy side view of the body of the lion. Add stripes to the tail and triangles all over the body. Decorate the background of the landscape by adding details such as trees, clouds…..Color your artwork showing a pattern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First grade: Practice drawing the head of a tige using lines and shapes. <\/h2>\n\n\n\n
