{"id":2312,"date":"2017-02-08T16:11:07","date_gmt":"2017-02-08T21:11:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/saadn\/?p=2312"},"modified":"2017-02-15T16:18:06","modified_gmt":"2017-02-15T21:18:06","slug":"clay-rose-2nd-grade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/saadn\/2017\/02\/08\/clay-rose-2nd-grade\/","title":{"rendered":"Clay Rose Sculpture(2nd Grade)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Second graders learned about forms as we call them in art or solids as they call them in math. \u00a0Also, they learned the difference between 2 dimensional shapes and 3 dimensional shapes (forms or solids).<\/p>\n<p>Students practiced \u00a0how to make a sphere, a cone and a coil with oil clay. They\u00a0 were introduced \u00a0to few clay techniques to help them \u00a0glue the rose to a 2 dimensional geometric shape of their choice.
