{"id":2055,"date":"2016-10-24T15:44:44","date_gmt":"2016-10-24T19:44:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/saadn\/?p=2055"},"modified":"2016-11-03T16:16:49","modified_gmt":"2016-11-03T20:16:49","slug":"empty-bowls-5th-grade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/saadn\/2016\/10\/24\/empty-bowls-5th-grade\/","title":{"rendered":"Empty Bowls (5th Grade)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today, my fifth graders started to work on a community project called &#8220;<span style=\"color: #993300;\"> Empty Bowls<\/span>&#8220;. \u00a0Students are learning how to make a clay bowl to donate and to be sold at the Empty Bowls Dinner on Monday, November 21, 2016. \u00a0The money will be used to help feeding the hungry. The event will take place at\u00a0Park Place Banquet Hall, located at 23400 Park Street in Dearborn (2 blocks south of Michigan Avenue at Outer Drive).<\/p>\n<p>The Art Department has been organizing this event\u00a0in Dearborn for the last 25 years. \u00a0The proceeds will go to <strong>Gleaners<\/strong> and <strong>Blessings in a Backpack<\/strong>.
