Hello Parents,
\nJoin us tomorrow on Tuesday, May 17 at 9 am for a parent meeting on Suicide Awareness. More and more we are hearing about our youth falling into depression, having extreme conflict within themselves and with their peers then turning to suicide. Our goal at ACCESS and Oakman School is to help parents understand the warning signs of suicide and how to help prevent. Your children may be small now, but middle school, high school and college are the critical years where children are affected by depression so let us be informed.<\/p>\n
Then at the end of the week ,on Friday May 20 at 9am, we will discuss Mandated Reporting. We want to inform parents about what is and is not considered to be child abuse, the role of Child Protective Services, and to address fears and misconceptions about it.
