{"id":976,"date":"2016-09-30T11:24:18","date_gmt":"2016-09-30T15:24:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/?p=976"},"modified":"2016-09-30T11:24:18","modified_gmt":"2016-09-30T15:24:18","slug":"friday-newsletter-9-30-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/2016\/09\/30\/friday-newsletter-9-30-16\/","title":{"rendered":"Friday Newsletter, 9-30-16"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>News and Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>PBIS (Positive Behavior System) Monthly Reward Party<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our first reward party for September behavior will be Monday.\u00a0 Those students who stayed on \u201cgreen\u201d 80% of the month will get popsicles and extra recess.\u00a0 Our entire class will be attending!<\/p>\n<p><strong>BINGO<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bingo for Books will be tonight at 6:30 in the cafeteria.\u00a0 Come play BINGO, enjoy a snack and win a book!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Apple Orchard Field Trip<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please be sure to turn in permission slip and payment by October 10<sup>th<\/sup> for our field trip on October 12<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Calendar<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>October 14<sup>th<\/sup> \u2013 Half day of school.\u00a0 Students will be dismissed at 11:45 a.m.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Library Books<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students came home with a library book this week. \u00a0These are due on Monday. \u00a0If books are not returned on Monday the student may not check out a new one.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What We Did This Week<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We continue to review classroom and school rules and consequences.<\/p>\n<p>Our Alpa-Friend was \u201cTiggy Tiger\u201d, letter T<\/p>\n<p>We have been discussing the season of Fall<\/p>\n<p>We have been reading and studying about apples<\/p>\n<p>We worked in our poem books<\/p>\n<p>We wrote in our journals<\/p>\n<p>We listened to stories<\/p>\n<p>We made Apple Trees<\/p>\n<p>We continue to study nursery rhymes and finger poems<\/p>\n<p>In math we are practicing our counting and creating simple patterns using the pattern blocks<\/p>\n<p>We enjoyed Free Choice<\/p>\n<p>We are working on drawing simple shapes in preparation for beginning our handwriting books.\u00a0 Ask the children to tell you about \u201cMat Man\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News and Information PBIS (Positive Behavior System) Monthly Reward Party Our first reward party for September behavior will be Monday.\u00a0 Those students who stayed on \u201cgreen\u201d 80% of the month will get popsicles and extra recess.\u00a0 Our entire class will be attending!
