{"id":832,"date":"2016-02-26T10:52:10","date_gmt":"2016-02-26T15:52:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/?p=832"},"modified":"2016-02-26T10:52:10","modified_gmt":"2016-02-26T15:52:10","slug":"friday-newsletter-2-26-16","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/2016\/02\/26\/friday-newsletter-2-26-16\/","title":{"rendered":"Friday Newsletter 2-26-16"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>News and Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reading Logs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>February reading logs can be turned in next Tuesday for a pizza coupon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PBIS (positive behavior) Reward Party<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is a note in the red folder regarding our reward BEACH party. \u00a0Feel free to dress your student in &#8220;beach&#8221; or Hawaiian\u00a0shirts and send in a beach towel and sunglasses. \u00a0We will be playing beach volleyball and listening to music!<\/p>\n<p><strong>March is Reading Month<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We will be doing some author studies and crafts to celebrate reading month. \u00a0We will start with Dr. Seuss next week and\u00a0celebrate\u00a0his birthday Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>March Reading Logs will also be sent home Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What We Did This Week<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We continue to review our Alpha Friend sounds &#8220;stretching&#8221; sounds when we write in our journals<\/p>\n<p>We began our study of Clay&#8217;s sight words, our words this week were: I, like<\/p>\n<p>We worked with the word &#8220;like&#8221; in our poem books<\/p>\n<p>In math we measured our heights and next week we will use &#8220;feet&#8221; to measure distances<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News and Information Reading Logs February reading logs can be turned in next Tuesday for a pizza coupon.
