Dates To Remember:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Monday, January 19th – No School<\/p>\n

Thursday, January 22nd – Half Day of school, dismissal is at 11:45 a.m.<\/p>\n

Friday, January 23rd – No School<\/p>\n

Little Caeser’s Pizza Kit Fundraiser<\/strong><\/p>\n

Information came home Thursday about this fundraiser. \u00a0Orders are due Friday, January 30th<\/p>\n

Outdoor Recess<\/strong><\/p>\n

If the temperature is above 20 degrees we will go outdoors. \u00a0Please be aware of snow or wet conditions and pack snow pants and boots.<\/p>\n

What We Did This Week<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our AlphaFriend this week was “Keely Kangaroo”, letter Kk<\/p>\n

We rotated through Daily 5 and stamped lower case letters at Word Work<\/p>\n

We got started in our new journals and are very focused on “stretching” our sounds using our alphabet chart<\/p>\n

We have begun posting words on our “Word Wall” – we will begin with the words “I” and” like” and continue to study them next week (with it being a short week)<\/p>\n

We have been working on empathy in our Social Skills group with Mr. Iversile. \u00a0We are paying attention to our friends faces and feelings as we work and play together.<\/p>\n

We will begin a unit on “Sink and Float” in Science<\/p>\n

In math we are focused on the “tricky teens” and identifying and writing them. \u00a0We continue to count by 10’s, 5’s and 1’s<\/p>\n
