{"id":392,"date":"2014-09-19T14:56:13","date_gmt":"2014-09-19T18:56:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/?p=392"},"modified":"2014-09-19T14:56:13","modified_gmt":"2014-09-19T18:56:13","slug":"friday-newsletter-9-19-14","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/2014\/09\/19\/friday-newsletter-9-19-14\/","title":{"rendered":"Friday Newsletter, 9-19-14"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>News and Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Open House<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thank you to the families who were able to attend Open House.\u00a0 I enjoyed meeting you and hope you enjoyed touring the classroom and school.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Behavior Charts<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students have begun marking their behavior charts at the end of the school day.\u00a0 These can be found on the back of their red folder.<\/p>\n<p>Green = Great Day!<\/p>\n<p>Yellow = Warning<\/p>\n<p>Orange = 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Warning<\/p>\n<p>Red = Office referral and phone call home<\/p>\n<p>Students who are on green 80% of September will attend the end of the month reward party.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Spirit Wear<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are order forms coming home today for Lindbergh t-shirts and sweatshirts.\u00a0 Friday is usually spirit day and students wear their Lindbergh shirts!\u00a0 Orders are due Friday, September 26<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What We Did This Week<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our new AlphaFriend this week was Mimi Mouse \u2013 letter Mm<\/p>\n<p>We have started to read aloud books about Fall.<\/p>\n<p>In Math we continue to count during Calendar time.<\/p>\n<p>We have started lessons using our \u201cHandwriting Without Tears\u201d curriculum.\u00a0 Ask your student to explain the wooden pieces and their shapes!<\/p>\n<p>We have also started our social skills lessons with Mr. Iversille (school social worker) using the program 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Steps.<\/p>\n<p>Students received their book boxes this week and we have begun to talk about \u201cRead To Self.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 News and Information Open House Thank you to the families who were able to attend Open House.\u00a0 I enjoyed meeting you and hope you enjoyed touring the classroom and school.
