{"id":307,"date":"2014-05-02T11:03:17","date_gmt":"2014-05-02T15:03:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/?p=307"},"modified":"2014-05-02T11:03:17","modified_gmt":"2014-05-02T15:03:17","slug":"friday-newsletter-5-2-14","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/2014\/05\/02\/friday-newsletter-5-2-14\/","title":{"rendered":"Friday Newsletter, 5-2-14"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>News and Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>April Reward for PBIS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Because of the weather the reward for positive behavior for the month of April is being moved to Monday, May 5<sup>th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Those students earning the reward will enjoy a game of Dodge Ball and extra recess outside.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mother\u2019s Day Celebration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are looking forward to seeing all of the moms next Friday afternoon at 2:00 in the classroom.\u00a0 We have some special plans and the day will end with treats in the cafeteria.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Calendar<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Later Start:\u00a0 May 14<sup>th<\/sup><\/p>\n<p>No School:\u00a0 May 23<sup>rd<\/sup> and 26<sup>th<\/sup> (Memorial Day Weekend)<\/p>\n<p><strong>What We Did This Week<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We reviewed previously learned sight words and will begin with a new one next week.<\/p>\n<p>Students did not receive a new title in their book bags.\u00a0 We have been using small group time for end of the year assessment.<\/p>\n<p>We have been working hard on illustrating our Publishing Center books and Mother\u2019s Day project.<\/p>\n<p>In Math we have been counting by 2\u2019s (skip counting) and using our ten frames to \u201cadd\u201d counting bears.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News and Information April Reward for PBIS Because of the weather the reward for positive behavior for the month of April is being moved to Monday, May 5th.\u00a0 Those students earning the reward will enjoy a game of Dodge Ball and extra recess outside.
