{"id":276,"date":"2014-04-04T13:11:41","date_gmt":"2014-04-04T17:11:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/?p=276"},"modified":"2014-04-04T13:11:41","modified_gmt":"2014-04-04T17:11:41","slug":"friday-newsletter-4-4-14","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/2014\/04\/04\/friday-newsletter-4-4-14\/","title":{"rendered":"Friday Newsletter, 4-4-14"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Field Trip \u201cThank You\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A big thank you to the parents who were able to chaperone our field trip to the Hands On Museum.\u00a0 We had a great time exploring and learning in the \u201cSLIME\u201d lab!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Late Start<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A reminder that Wednesday, April 9<sup>th<\/sup> is a late start.\u00a0 School will begin at 9:35 a.m.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Assembly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Young Fives will be working with the Kindergarten classes and performing in our School Assembly next Wednesday morning at 10:15 a.m.\u00a0 The students will be \u201cteaching\u201d the rest of the school about the next habit (Synergize) \u00a0in our study of \u201cThe 7 Habits for Happy Children.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>What We Did This Week<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our new high frequency word was \u201cup\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Our new poem was \u201cFarm Riddle\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We played a dice game with words off our Word Wall (during Word Work).<\/p>\n<p>We wrote in Writer\u2019s Workshop using the words \u201con\u201d and \u201cup\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In math we are beginning to write Number Stories (an early introduction to addition and subtraction)<\/p>\n<p>Have a nice weekend!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Field Trip \u201cThank You\u201d A big thank you to the parents who were able to chaperone our field trip to the Hands On Museum.\u00a0 We had a great time exploring and learning in the \u201cSLIME\u201d lab!
