If not don&#8217;t panic.  Just keep in touch and we&#8217;ll try to figure things out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Kindergarten google classroom has many more concepts than our Y5 curriculum.  Consider these activities a resource to help students continue academics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most important thing you can continue to do is read to your student!  Below are some online opportunities for stories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Vooks-<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vooks.com\/\">https:\/\/www.vooks.com\/<\/a>-Storybooks brought to life-they have one month free trial<\/li><li>Storylineonline <a href=\"https:\/\/www.storylineonline.net\/\">https:\/\/www.storylineonline.net\/<\/a>&#8211; Free read alouds<\/li><li>Epic- <a href=\"https:\/\/www.getepic.com\/\">https:\/\/www.getepic.com\/<\/a>&#8211; Free digital library (may need class access code)<strong>Michigan<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Electronic Library: Online Children\u2019s Encyclopedia, Research tools, k-8 ebooks, <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mel.org\/kids\"><strong>https:\/\/mel.org\/kids<\/strong><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/dearbornlibrary.org\/wordpress\/elementary\/\"><strong>\/<\/strong><\/a><\/li><li><strong>Storytime from Space: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/storytimefromspace.com\/\"><strong>https:\/\/storytimefromspace.com\/<\/strong><\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Just Read Books: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.justbooksreadaloud.com\/\"><strong>https:\/\/www.justbooksreadaloud.com\/<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>OTHER IDEAS!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Have your student read to you from their book bag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Practice writing first and last name (first letter capital, the rest lower case)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Practice writing 1-20 (especially those tricky teens)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Count aloud by 1&#8242;, 5&#8217;s and 10&#8217;s<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Try writing our sight words (off the ring of words) in &#8220;rainbow writing&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Rainbow Writing\" width=\"575\" height=\"323\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2xh-DYWh1HI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Keep a journal.  Make sure students draw characters and a setting.  Give them a short sentence stem to finish:  &#8220;I like to&#8230;..&#8221;, &#8220;We go to&#8230;.&#8221;, &#8220;I can&#8230;.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More soon!
