I collected student reading bags to add new work.  These will come home soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ELA<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We rotated through Daily 5 and met in small groups.  We are now beginning to study &#8220;sight words.&#8221;  These will help with beginning reading strategies.  Our new words this week were: I, like<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Writing:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We will get new journals this week.  We will introduce Informational writing.  Students are reviewing straight line letters (E, F, L H) and will be introduced to &#8220;magic C letters&#8221; this week (C, G, O,)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Math:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are concentrating on counting by groups of 10.
