{"id":1786,"date":"2018-11-30T17:53:37","date_gmt":"2018-11-30T22:53:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/?p=1786"},"modified":"2018-11-30T17:53:37","modified_gmt":"2018-11-30T22:53:37","slug":"friday-newsletter-11-30-18","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/2018\/11\/30\/friday-newsletter-11-30-18\/","title":{"rendered":"Friday Newsletter, 11-30-18"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>News and Information:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Field Trip (December 13th) to Kroger and LifeTime Fitness.\u00a0 Permission slip, waivers and money due.<\/p>\n<p>November reward party for good behavior Tuesday, December 11th.\u00a0 Game Day, students may bring their favorite board game.<\/p>\n<p>Late Start December 12th<\/p>\n<p>December 14th, no school for Kindergarten and Y5 students<\/p>\n<p>December 21st last day of school before winter vacation<\/p>\n<p><strong>What We Did This Week:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>ELA:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Our letters of the week were Xx, Yy<\/li>\n<li>Our sight words were\u00a0<strong>this<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>little<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Our Poem this week was \u201cThis Little Friend\u201d<\/li>\n<li>We rotated through Daily 5 (read to self, work on writing, listen to reading and word work).\u00a0 We met in small groups.<\/li>\n<li>In Writer\u2019s Workshop students wrote stretching and recording the sounds they hear.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Math:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We completed Module 2 lessons 3-7, exploring 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional shapes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Social Studies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We reviewed Needs and Wants and sorted pictures of Good and Services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Science<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>We played sound BINGO and used our sense of hearing.\u00a0 Last week we mixed colors and used our sense of sight to study the shades.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We went to gym, art, music and media.<\/p>\n<p>We enjoyed free choice time with our friends.<\/p>\n<p>Have a great weekend!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News and Information: Field Trip (December 13th) to Kroger and LifeTime Fitness.\u00a0 Permission slip, waivers and money due.
