{"id":1614,"date":"2018-08-31T08:24:14","date_gmt":"2018-08-31T12:24:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/?p=1614"},"modified":"2018-08-31T08:24:14","modified_gmt":"2018-08-31T12:24:14","slug":"first-week-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/2018\/08\/31\/first-week-report\/","title":{"rendered":"First Week Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We had a great first week!<\/p>\n<p>The students continue to practice our daily routine, procedures and rules.\u00a0 Next week begin full days.\u00a0 Please keep in mind the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pack a snack for the afternoon.\u00a0 Be sure to talk to your student about the difference between their snack and their lunch.\u00a0 Pack it separate from their lunch box.<\/li>\n<li>Kids Club:\u00a0 please be sure to let me know your student&#8217;s afternoon schedule.<\/li>\n<li>The heat will continue next week.\u00a0 Students may bring water bottles.\u00a0 Be sure they are labeled with their name.<\/li>\n<li>Special Classes Schedule<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mondays:\u00a0 Music<\/p>\n<p>Tuesdays:\u00a0 Gym<\/p>\n<p>Wednesdays:\u00a0 Music<\/p>\n<p>Thursdays:\u00a0 Media<\/p>\n<p>Fridays:\u00a0 Art and Gym<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please wear gym shoes on Tuesdays and Fridays!<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you did not come for an afternoon assessment during soft start I will attempt to assess your student in class but please be patient, this will take time.<\/li>\n<li>Assessment communication will come home with Nightly Literacy homework beginning next week.<\/li>\n<li>Free and Reduced lunch forms will also come home next week.<\/li>\n<li>The school supplies that your student brought home in the HAP bag is a gift from the DFSE (Dearborn Federation of School Employees).\u00a0 Every Kindergarten student in the district received this gift.\u00a0 These can stay at home!<\/li>\n<li>This week students were introduced to the first two Habits in our Leader In Me program.\u00a0 We talked about being &#8220;Proactive&#8221; and &#8220;Beginning with the End in Mind.&#8221;\u00a0 Students wrote a goal for Kindergarten.<\/li>\n<li>Behavior Chart:\u00a0 Students learned about our clip system and the rules and expectations when at school.\u00a0 At the end of the day on the back of their red folder they will bring their behavior report home.\u00a0 Green=good day!\u00a0 Yellow=warning\u00a0 Orange=time out\u00a0 Red=principal&#8217;s office.<\/li>\n<li>Please return red folders daily.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I think that is all for now.<\/p>\n<p>Have a good Holiday weekend!\u00a0 See everyone Tuesday!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We had a great first week!
