{"id":1587,"date":"2018-08-24T17:42:11","date_gmt":"2018-08-24T21:42:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/?p=1587"},"modified":"2018-08-24T17:42:11","modified_gmt":"2018-08-24T21:42:11","slug":"first-day-of-school-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/2018\/08\/24\/first-day-of-school-2\/","title":{"rendered":"First Day of School"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello Families!<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m looking forward to seeing everybody Monday!\u00a0 The entry bell will ring at 8:35 a.m.<\/p>\n<p>Our class lines up on the number 5 on the south end black top.<\/p>\n<p>Kindergarten parents are welcome (and encouraged) to walk into the building with us the first day of school.\u00a0 We will have a short classroom meeting and then parents will be excused to the auditorium for brief &#8220;Welcome to Lindbergh&#8221; assembly.<\/p>\n<p>Remember that the first week of school is a &#8220;soft start.&#8221;\u00a0 Monday-Thursday are half days with dismissal at 11:45.\u00a0 There is no school Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Kindergarten students will practice eating lunch in the cafeteria next week.\u00a0 Please plan to pack a lunch Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>On the first day of school you will be asked to sign up for a day and time that you can bring your student back to school for a short assessment (during the afternoons of soft start).<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime please subscribe to my iBlog!<\/p>\n<p>See you soon!<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Ruselink<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello Families!
