{"id":154,"date":"2013-11-15T08:21:40","date_gmt":"2013-11-15T13:21:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/?p=154"},"modified":"2013-11-15T08:23:08","modified_gmt":"2013-11-15T13:23:08","slug":"154","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/2013\/11\/15\/154\/","title":{"rendered":"Newsletter, 11-15-13"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>No School<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wednesday, November 27<sup>th<\/sup>-November 29<sup>th<\/sup>, Thanksgiving Recess<\/p>\n<p><strong>Next Late Start<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wednesday, December 11<sup>th<\/sup><\/p>\n<p><strong>November Reading Logs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Turn in November Reading Logs December 2<sup>nd<\/sup> (after Thanksgiving) to earn a free personal pizza from Pizza Hut!<\/p>\n<p><strong>What We Did This Week<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Our Alpha Friend was \u201cCallie Cat\u201d, letter Cc<\/li>\n<li>We rotated though Daily Five \u2013 \u201cRead to Self\u201d, \u201cListening to Reading\u201d, Word\/Letter Work\u201d, and \u201cWork on Writing\u201d<\/li>\n<li>We worked in Writer\u2019s Workshop<\/li>\n<li>In Math we used \u201cten frames\u201d to represent numbers, we played our first Math game \u201cSpin a Number\u201d, we continue to practice our counting and numeral formation and even introduced counting by 10\u2019s!<\/li>\n<li>In Science we used our 5 Senses to explore the insides of a pumpkin!\u00a0 We even got to use our sense of taste to eat the cooked pumpkin seeds!\u00a0 Yummy!<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t forget if the students have books that they enjoy reading at home they are more than welcome to bring them into class and keep them in their book boxes for \u201cRead to Self.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Have a good weekend!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>No School Wednesday, November 27th-November 29th, Thanksgiving Recess Next Late Start Wednesday, December 11th November Reading Logs Turn in November Reading Logs December 2nd (after Thanksgiving) to earn a free personal pizza from Pizza Hut!
