{"id":1495,"date":"2018-04-27T11:34:06","date_gmt":"2018-04-27T15:34:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/?p=1495"},"modified":"2018-04-27T11:34:06","modified_gmt":"2018-04-27T15:34:06","slug":"friday-newsletter-4-27-18","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/2018\/04\/27\/friday-newsletter-4-27-18\/","title":{"rendered":"Friday Newsletter, 4-27-18"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>What We Did This Week<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We review our Alpha Friends daily.<\/p>\n<p>We introduced the sight word: he<\/p>\n<p>We are \u201cstretching sounds\u201d and recording what we hear in our journals.<\/p>\n<p>We are reading stories about Spring.<\/p>\n<p>In handwriting we are beginning practice with letters that have straight lines and slanted lines! \u2013 this week we practiced N.<\/p>\n<p>In math we continue to have \u201cnumber talks\u201d using our ten frames and we continue to practice writing numerals 1-20.\u00a0 We introduced the concept of measuring.\u00a0 We used different materials in the classroom to measure our feet and arm.<\/p>\n<p>We rotated through our Daily 5 Literacy Centers.<\/p>\n<p>We presented our Science Fair Boot Camp projects to the class.<\/p>\n<p>In Science we are discussing the needs of plants and animals.\u00a0 We made bird nests as we discussed the need for shelter.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What We Did This Week We review our Alpha Friends daily.
