{"id":1451,"date":"2018-03-02T16:47:25","date_gmt":"2018-03-02T21:47:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/?p=1451"},"modified":"2018-03-02T16:48:02","modified_gmt":"2018-03-02T21:48:02","slug":"friday-newsletter-3-2-18","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/2018\/03\/02\/friday-newsletter-3-2-18\/","title":{"rendered":"Friday Newsletter, 3-2-18"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>News and Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Late Start:<\/strong>\u00a0 March 14th<\/p>\n<p><strong>Spring Pictures<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Rescheduled for March 9th<\/p>\n<p><strong>What We Did This Week<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We review our Alpha Friends daily.<\/p>\n<p>We introduced the sight word: is<\/p>\n<p>We are \u201cstretching sounds\u201d and recording what we hear in our journals.\u00a0 We also read and wrote about Giraffes (informational writing).<\/p>\n<p>We have started to read Dr. Suess books in class to begin our March is Reading Month celebration.<\/p>\n<p>In handwriting we are beginning practice with letters that have straight lines and curves &#8211; this week we practiced P.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We used sticks to build shapes and talked about how many sides each shape had.<\/p>\n<p>In Science we continued our weather unit with reading a story about how to dress for the weather.<\/p>\n<p>We visited our special classes, Gym, Art, Music and Media<\/p>\n<p>In Second Steps we talked about searching for clues\u00a0in our body to tell us how we (or friends)\u00a0are\u00a0feeling.<\/p>\n<p>We rotated through our Daily 5 Literacy Centers.<\/p>\n<p>Happy snow day!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News and Information Late Start:\u00a0 March 14th Spring Pictures Rescheduled for March 9th What We Did This Week We review our Alpha Friends daily.
