{"id":1348,"date":"2017-11-17T14:54:40","date_gmt":"2017-11-17T19:54:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/?p=1348"},"modified":"2017-11-17T14:54:40","modified_gmt":"2017-11-17T19:54:40","slug":"friday-newsletter-11-17-17","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/2017\/11\/17\/friday-newsletter-11-17-17\/","title":{"rendered":"Friday Newsletter, 11-17-17"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>News and Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>No School<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wednesday, November 22nd through November 26th (Thanksgiving)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>.<strong>What We Did This Week<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We introduced our Alpha Friend, Pippa Pig, letter P<\/p>\n<p>We colored the letter P, colored letter P pictures, and worked with letter P in our poem books.<\/p>\n<p>We wrote in our journals.\u00a0 We are learning to draw our stories with details and basic shapes.<\/p>\n<p>We are reading stories by the author Mo Willems (Pigeon books)<\/p>\n<p>We worked in our Handwriting book using our \u201cthree finger squeeze\u201d and have started our study of the\u201cstraight \u2013 line\u201d letter family with the letter L<\/p>\n<p>We are counting to 100 using songs and our math grid<\/p>\n<p>We discussed the &#8220;Tricky Teen&#8221; family (numbers 11-19)<\/p>\n<p>We are also building numbers on the ten frame<\/p>\n<p>We practiced writing numbers 1-20 this week<\/p>\n<p>We visited our special classes, Gym, Art, Music and Media<\/p>\n<p>We enjoyed playing on the playground<\/p>\n<p>We enjoyed Free Choice Time<\/p>\n<p>We rotated through our Daily 5 Literacy Centers<\/p>\n<p>Students who were on green 4 days this week attended the BINGO party<\/p>\n<p>In Science we used our sense taste to graph if we enjoyed sweet or salty treats<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News and Information &nbsp; No School Wednesday, November 22nd through November 26th (Thanksgiving) &nbsp; .What We Did This Week We introduced our Alpha Friend, Pippa Pig, letter P We colored the letter P, colored letter P pictures, and worked with letter P in our poem books.
