{"id":132,"date":"2013-10-25T11:08:24","date_gmt":"2013-10-25T15:08:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/?p=132"},"modified":"2013-10-25T11:08:24","modified_gmt":"2013-10-25T15:08:24","slug":"newsletter-10-25-13","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/2013\/10\/25\/newsletter-10-25-13\/","title":{"rendered":"Newsletter 10-25-13"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A BIG THANK YOU<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A very big thank you for the generous donations that have come in for our Raffle Basket for the Holiday Boutique. \u00a0There is still time to donate. \u00a0Donations can be sent to school in your students folder.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Haunted School<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong>Don&#8217;t forget Haunted School is tonight beginning at 6:30.<\/p>\n<p>I have put a link to the school&#8217;s PTA blog on our classroom blog so you can access information about PTA events.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reading Logs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>October reading logs are due next Friday, November 1<sup>st<\/sup>.\u00a0 Read our class goal and your student will earn a personal pizza from Pizza Hut!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Halloween<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We will celebrate Halloween next Thursday on October 31<sup>st<\/sup>.\u00a0 Students are allowed to wear their costume to school.\u00a0 There will be a costume parade around 9:00 a.m.\u00a0 Our class will do some Halloween crafts and enjoy a special snack afterwards.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PBIS (Positive Behavior) Reward for the Month of October<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students who have had less than 6 yellows for the month of October will enjoy a performance by the Dearborn High School Marching Band.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What We Did This Week<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Our Alpha Friend was Hattie Horse, Letter Hh<\/li>\n<li>We continued work in our Writer\u2019s Workshop books using a topic list<\/li>\n<li>We have built our \u201cRead To Self\u201d stamina to 10 minutes and will soon be rotating through the other parts of our literacy program!<\/li>\n<li>In Science we have started work on \u201cOur 5 Senses.\u201d\u00a0 This week we used our sense of sight to observe color changes.<\/li>\n<li>We continue to work on our play and socialization skills during Free Choice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Have a nice weekend!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A BIG THANK YOU A very big thank you for the generous donations that have come in for our Raffle Basket for the Holiday Boutique. \u00a0There is still time to donate. \u00a0Donations can be sent to school in your students folder.
