News and Information<\/strong><\/p>\n

Library Books<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please help your student remember to return their library book back to school on Monday.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Classroom Halloween Party<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our class will be celebrating Halloween on Tuesday, October 31st at 9:00 a.m.\u00a0 The Kindergarten and Young 5 costume parade and our party should take about an hour and a half.<\/p>\n

Students are welcome to wear a costume to school (with clothes underneath).\u00a0 We will be taking our costumes off after the party and putting them in our backpack.<\/p>\n

Parents are welcome to sign in at the office and get their visitor badge at the entry bell (8:35) Tuesday morning.\u00a0 Our room mom will need some help setting up in the cafeteria.\u00a0 The parade will begin at 9:00 in the hallway.<\/p>\n

Half-Day of School<\/strong> – Friday, November 3rd, dismissal is at 11:45.<\/p>\n

PTA RAFFLE TICKETS DUE WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 1st<\/strong><\/p>\n

What We Did This Week<\/strong><\/p>\n

We introduced our Alpha Friend, Andy Apple, letter A<\/p>\n

We colored the letter A, colored letter\u00a0A pictures, and worked with letter\u00a0A in our poem books.<\/p>\n

We wrote in our journals.\u00a0 We are learning to draw our stories with details and basic shapes.<\/p>\n

We have moved onto reading Halloween stories<\/p>\n

We worked in our Handwriting book using our \u201cthree finger squeeze\u201d<\/p>\n

We are counting to 100 using songs and our math grid<\/p>\n

We are also building numbers on the ten frame<\/p>\n

We stamped, colored and discussed two dimensional shapes<\/p>\n

We visted our special classes, Gym, Art, Music and Media<\/p>\n

We enjoyed playing on the playground<\/p>\n

We enjoyed Free Choice Time<\/p>\n

We continue to learn to rotate through Daily 5 (literacy) centers<\/p>\n

Students who were on green 4 days this week attended a Halloween Story reading.<\/p>\n

We will begin exploring our Five Senses in Science next week.<\/p>\n
