{"id":1278,"date":"2017-10-20T10:46:11","date_gmt":"2017-10-20T14:46:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/?p=1278"},"modified":"2017-10-20T10:46:11","modified_gmt":"2017-10-20T14:46:11","slug":"friday-newsletter-10-20-17","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/2017\/10\/20\/friday-newsletter-10-20-17\/","title":{"rendered":"Friday Newsletter, 10-20-17"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>News and Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Library Books<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please help your student remember to return their library book back to school on Monday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Field Trip<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thank you to the chaperones who could attend the orchard field trip.\u00a0 The day was beautiful and the students enjoyed the experience.\u00a0 If you have a copy of our class picture could you forward it to me???<\/p>\n<p><strong>Classroom Halloween Party<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our class will be celebrating Halloween on Tuesday, October 31st at 9:00 a.m.\u00a0 The Kindergarten and Young 5 costume parade and our party should take about an hour and a half.<\/p>\n<p>Students are welcome to wear a costume to school (with clothes underneath).\u00a0 We will be taking our costumes off after the party and putting them in our backpack.<\/p>\n<p>A sign-up up for food and supplies will come out Monday.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What We Did This Week<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We introduced our Alpha Friend, Hattie Horse, letter H<\/p>\n<p>We colored the letter H, colored letter H pictures, and worked with letter H in our poem books.<\/p>\n<p>We wrote in our journals.\u00a0 We are learning to draw our stories with details and basic shapes.<\/p>\n<p>We have moved onto reading Halloween stories<\/p>\n<p>We worked in our Handwriting book using our \u201cthree finger squeeze\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We are counting to 100 using songs and our math grid<\/p>\n<p>We are also building numbers on the ten frame<\/p>\n<p>We introduced our numeral song and practiced writing numbers on our whiteboards<\/p>\n<p>We visted our special classes, Gym, Art, Music and Media<\/p>\n<p>We enjoyed playing on the playground<\/p>\n<p>We enjoyed Free Choice Time<\/p>\n<p>We continue to learn to rotate through Daily 5 (literacy) centers<\/p>\n<p>We continue to review rules, routines, and procedures<\/p>\n<p>Students who were on green 4 days this week attended the BINGO party.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions or concerns please let me know<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News and Information &nbsp; Library Books Please help your student remember to return their library book back to school on Monday.
