{"id":1265,"date":"2017-10-16T14:57:08","date_gmt":"2017-10-16T18:57:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/?p=1265"},"modified":"2017-10-16T14:57:08","modified_gmt":"2017-10-16T18:57:08","slug":"friday-newsletter-10-13-17","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/2017\/10\/16\/friday-newsletter-10-13-17\/","title":{"rendered":"Friday Newsletter, 10-13-17"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>News and Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Field Trip<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please remember that permission slips and payments are due for our October 18th trip to the apple orchard.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Library Books<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please help your student remember to return their library book back to school on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Late Start<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Wednesday, October 18th.\u00a0 School will begin at 9:30 a.m.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What We Did This Week<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We introduced our Alpha Friend, Callie Cat, letter C<\/p>\n<p>We colored the letter C, colored letter C pictures, and worked with letter C in our poem books.<\/p>\n<p>We wrote in our journals.\u00a0 We are learning to draw our stories with details.<\/p>\n<p>We finished reading Pete the Cat stories<\/p>\n<p>We worked in our Handwriting book using our &#8220;three finger squeeze&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In Science we are discussing the season of Fall.\u00a0 We continue to collect \u201cevidence of Fall\u201d while we are outside.<\/p>\n<p>We are counting to 100 using songs and our math grid<\/p>\n<p>We are also building number on the ten frame<\/p>\n<p>We introduced our numeral song and practiced writing numbers on our whiteboards<\/p>\n<p>We visted our special classes, Gym, Art, Music and Media<\/p>\n<p>We enjoyed playing on the playground<\/p>\n<p>We enjoyed Free Choice Time<\/p>\n<p>We learned to rotate through Daily 5 (literacy) centers<\/p>\n<p>We continue to review rules, routines, and procedures<\/p>\n<p>Students who were on green 3 days last week attended the prize box party<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions or concerns please let me know!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News and Information Field Trip Please remember that permission slips and payments are due for our October 18th trip to the apple orchard.
