News and Information<\/strong><\/p>\n

Field Trip<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please remember that permission slips and payments are due for our October 18th trip to the apple orchard.<\/p>\n

Library Books<\/strong><\/p>\n

Please help your student remember to return their library book back to school on Monday.<\/p>\n

Lunch Money<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you would like to put some money on your child\u2019s lunch account and not have them handle the money themselves you can send in cash or check (made out to Dearborn Public Schools) \u00a0and we will get the credit applied to their lunch card.<\/p>\n

Half Day of School<\/strong><\/p>\n

Friday, October 13th there is a half day of school.\u00a0 Dismissal is at 11:45 a.m.<\/p>\n

What We Did This Week<\/strong><\/p>\n

We introduced our Alpha Friend, Dudely Duck, letter D<\/p>\n

We colored the letter D, colored letter D pictures, and worked with letter D in our poem books.<\/p>\n

We wrote in our journals<\/p>\n

We began reading Pete the Cat stories<\/p>\n

We started work with our \u201cHandwriting Without Tears\u201d program (ask your student about MatMan).<\/p>\n

In Science we are discussing the season of Fall.\u00a0 We continue to collect \u201cevidence of Fall\u201d while we are outside.<\/p>\n

We are counting to 100 using songs and our math grid<\/p>\n

We introduced our numeral song and practiced writing numbers on our whiteboards<\/p>\n

We visted our special classes, Gym, Art, Music and Media<\/p>\n

We enjoyed playing on the playground<\/p>\n

We enjoyed Free Choice Time<\/p>\n

We continue to review rules, routines, and procedures<\/p>\n

Students who were on green 3 days last week attended the cookie party<\/p>\n
