{"id":1246,"date":"2017-09-25T15:08:16","date_gmt":"2017-09-25T19:08:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/?p=1246"},"modified":"2017-09-25T15:08:16","modified_gmt":"2017-09-25T19:08:16","slug":"friday-newsletter-9-22-17-late-post","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/ruselink\/2017\/09\/25\/friday-newsletter-9-22-17-late-post\/","title":{"rendered":"Friday Newsletter, 9-22-17 (Late Post)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>News and Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Picture Day<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Picture Day is Thursday, Sptember 28th. \u00a0Please be sure to return the picture order to class or complete online ordering.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Popcorn Friday<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This Friday (September 29th) is our first &#8220;Popcorn Friday&#8221; &#8211; students may purchase a bag for 25 cents and we will eat it during quiet time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Library Books<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students checked out their first library book today. \u00a0Keep the book at home to enjoy and return is next Monday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daily Behavior Chart<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is a behavior chart on the back of your student\u2019s red folder. \u00a0We introduced our \u201cclip system\u201d \u2013 ask them to tell you about it.<\/p>\n<p>Green: \u00a0\u201cGreat Job!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Yellow: \u00a0warning<\/p>\n<p>Orange: \u00a0time out<\/p>\n<p>Red: \u00a0phone call home<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lunch Money<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you would like to put some money on your child\u2019s lunch account and not have them handle the money themselves you can send in cash or check (made out to Dearborn Public Schools) \u00a0and we will get the credit applied to their lunch card.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What We Did This (Last) Week<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I apologize for not posting Friday &#8211; I was away from the classroom for our professional development.<\/p>\n<p>We introduced our Alpha Friend, Mimi Mouse, letter M<\/p>\n<p>We are learning many new finger poems and songs<\/p>\n<p>We are reading books about Fall<\/p>\n<p>We are counting to 100 using songs and our math grid<\/p>\n<p>We visted our special classes, Gym, Art, Music and Media<\/p>\n<p>We enjoyed playing on the playground<\/p>\n<p>We enjoyed Free Choice Time<\/p>\n<p>We worked in our poem books<\/p>\n<p>We continue to review rules, routines, and procedures<\/p>\n<p>We survived the heat!<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions or concerns please let me know!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News and Information Picture Day Picture Day is Thursday, Sptember 28th. \u00a0Please be sure to return the picture order to class or complete online ordering.
