{"id":445,"date":"2015-02-27T15:53:48","date_gmt":"2015-02-27T20:53:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/rpiche\/?p=445"},"modified":"2015-02-27T15:53:48","modified_gmt":"2015-02-27T20:53:48","slug":"feb-27th-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/rpiche\/2015\/02\/27\/feb-27th-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"Feb. 27th, 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Friday is finally here!<\/p>\n<p>I was absent yesterday, so the students watched a video on Islam with the sub.<\/p>\n<p>Today we prepared for the World Religions<strong> assessment that we will take on<\/strong> <strong>Monday! \u00a0<\/strong>I helped students prepare for their writing piece that they have to do for the assessment as well, which is a short 3 paragraph, compare\/contrast, writing assignment.<\/p>\n<p>Here is what I expect for the writing portion on the test on Monday. \u00a0Along with this is an example of what I am looking for in an introduction:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/rpiche\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1012\/2015\/02\/compare-contrast-3p-essay.docx\">compare contrast 3p essay<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Monday will be a <strong>closed note test<\/strong>. \u00a0It will contain two parts, 1.) 20 multiple choice questions regarding their notes and 2.) 3 paragraph writing piece. \u00a0Students can prepare their essays beforehand, but cannot use anything on the test.<\/p>\n<p>Today I also check their notes with all 5 religions and the map. \u00a0Here, again, are all the powerpoints for each religion, and the sheet\/map for the notes:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/rpiche\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1012\/2015\/02\/5-Major-World-Religions-table-map.docx\">5 Major World Religions table-map<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/rpiche\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1012\/2015\/02\/Hinduism.pptx\">Hinduism<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/rpiche\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1012\/2015\/02\/judaism.ppt\">judaism<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/rpiche\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1012\/2015\/02\/Buddhism.pptx\">Buddhism<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/rpiche\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1012\/2015\/02\/Christianity.ppt\">Christianity<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/rpiche\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1012\/2015\/02\/Islam.pptx\">Islam<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Also, here is the video that sums up all 5 religions very briefly. \u00a0We watched it today to review and help for writing the paragraphs:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The five major world religions - John Bellaimey\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/m6dCxo7t_aE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>All Extra Credit will be due on Monday!!<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Friday is finally here!
