Yesterday I had jury duty, so I wasn’t able to be at school. \u00a0The sub showed a video about ancient Egypt and some of the engineering achievements of different pharaohs. \u00a0They weren’t able to finish it, but we will finish it at a later date. \u00a0Here is the link to the video:<\/p>\n

Today we finished up the chapter discussing section 6, about pharaoh Ramses II and his temple at Abu Simbel. \u00a0Students learned that the temple recently was in danger from floods caused by a nearby dam. \u00a0So a team of conservationists in the 1960’s cut pieces of the temple away and moved the temple to a higher location. \u00a0The temple is over 3,000 years old. \u00a0Students need to finish their reading notes with section 6<\/p>\n
