{"id":337,"date":"2014-11-21T15:18:14","date_gmt":"2014-11-21T20:18:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/rpiche\/?p=337"},"modified":"2014-11-21T15:18:14","modified_gmt":"2014-11-21T20:18:14","slug":"nov-21st-2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/rpiche\/2014\/11\/21\/nov-21st-2014\/","title":{"rendered":"Nov. 21st, 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Students turned in their illustrated dictionaries today for chapter 6. \u00a0Any late can be turned in on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Today I showed students what is, and how to use, quizlet. \u00a0Quizlet is a great resource online to help with vocabulary. \u00a0If you notice, to the right in my blog, you will see a section called &#8220;Class Links.&#8221; \u00a0Underneath it is Quizlet. \u00a0That will take you to the quizlet website, quizlet.com.<br \/>\nIf the students goes to quizlet.com by typing in the url or using my blog, they will need to search my name and chapter (e.g. piche chapter 6). \u00a0There they can find my site.<\/p>\n<p>OR<\/p>\n<p>They can go to this direct link on the post to go straight to chapter 6 vocab for my class:<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Quizlet Chapter 6\" href=\"https:\/\/quizlet.com\/59444117\/chapter-6-piche-vocab-flash-cards\/\">https:\/\/quizlet.com\/59444117\/chapter-6-piche-vocab-flash-cards\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>They can even download the free app on their phones or tablets and use it that way!<\/p>\n<p>The website is a great resource tool for students to use to help their their vocabulary development. \u00a0I will encourage ALL students to use this site for practice. \u00a0Especially when they get to 8th grade, they will be using this a lot for class and MEAP prep.<\/p>\n<p>They don&#8217;t need to create a log-in ID, however they can if they like&#8230;its free!!<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions about quizlet, please send me an e-mail.<\/p>\n<p>No homework for the weekend, enjoy!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Students turned in their illustrated dictionaries today for chapter 6. \u00a0Any late can be turned in on Monday.
