Please have your child complete problems 1 a, b, c, f, g, 2a, b, and 3. They circled these problems with me in class. These are the “MUST DO” problems. They have a choice to complete the “CAN DO” problems which are the non circled problems. Your child needs to show decomposing (number bonds) and math pictures (easy tens, O’s and X’s) to solve the problems. Your child needs to show decomposing and math pictures for the RDW (READ, DRAW, WRITE) which is on the back side of the paper. Students worked on a similar problem like this in class and should be able to show you their classwork, in their LEARN book, if needed.

Please also read the Homework Helper letter for parents as guidance. I have also provided a video for parents so that they are able to help navigate their child through their homework on Schoology. You will also find a video for today’s lesson that will explain DECOMPOSING NUMBERS, and the TAKE OUT ONE strategy. Please go to courses and click the math folder and click Module 1 Lesson 5.

Thanks so much and have a good night!

Today your child will have math homework for Module 1 Lesson 5.
