We\u2019ll also be examining the parts of cells, functions of cells, the characteristics of living things, and we\u2019ll be learning about the structure and function of body systems. In addition, we\u2019ll be focusing our efforts on preparing for the\u00a0<strong>Science Fair<\/strong>, which will take place on\u00a0<strong>May 4th, 2020<\/strong>. During this time, students will study the scientific method, examine the parts of a science fair display board, discuss lab reports, practice data organization and graphing, and gather research. All science fair instructions, details, deadlines, and rubrics are available in Google Classroom. Students will have a\u00a0<strong>Human Body\/Human Body Systems Quiz<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0<strong>Friday, March 6th<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 To prepare, students should review their science vocab terms, class activities, and class notes.<br><strong><em>Homework<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0\u2013<\/em><br><strong><em>3\/4\/20\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u2013  Complete your flip label cards for your Human Body poster project. Bring in Science Fair work and\/or materials for genius hour in class tomorrow!  <br><strong><em>3\/6\/20\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Continue working on your Science Fair Project &#8211; Begin your experiment &amp; start collecting data!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>7th Grade ELA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013<br>This week, we\u2019ll be discussing, practicing, and utilizing text dependent analysis (TDA) strategies to create evidence-based pieces of writing. We\u2019ll be comparing and contrasting different examples of TDA writing, and we\u2019ll discuss the reasons why authors must include a clear claim, evidence, and reasoning in their writing. Students should also continue working on\u00a0<strong>Book Project 3<\/strong>, which will be\u00a0<strong>due on Thursday, April 16th<\/strong>. In addition, we\u2019ll be focusing our efforts on preparing for the\u00a0<strong>Engineering Design Fair<\/strong>, which will take place on\u00a0<strong>May 4th, 2020<\/strong>. During this time, students will explore topics, conduct research, and identify a real-world problem that will kick off their own Engineering Design Process.
