We\u2019ll be learning that cells are the building block of life and that all living things are comprised of one or more cells. Throughout this unit, we\u2019ll also be examining the relationship between biotic and abiotic components and we\u2019ll be learning about the difference between viruses, parasites, bacteria, and healthy cells. We\u2019ll also be examining the parts of cells, functions of cells,the characteristics of living things, and we\u2019ll be learning about the structure and function of body systems.<br><strong><em>Homework<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0\u2013<\/em><br><strong><em>2\/5\/20\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Review your new tissue engineering vocabulary terms<br><strong><em>2\/6\/20\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Finish your MiSTAR 6.2 unit challenge CER &#8211; Source of the outbreak<br><strong><em>2\/7\/20\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Have a great weekend!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>7th Grade ELA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013<br>This week, we\u2019ll be determining the theme(s) of a story by using context clues, evidence, and details from the text. We\u2019ll examine poems and different types of stories to give us more experience with identifying themes. Students should also continue working on\u00a0<strong>Book Project 3<\/strong>, which will be\u00a0<strong>due on Thursday, April 16th<\/strong>. All of the Book Project 3 instructions, details, deadlines, and the rubric are available in Google Classroom.<br><strong><em>Homework<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0\u2013<\/em><br><strong><em>2\/5\/20\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Complete IXL ELA 7.B 2 \u2013 Determine the themes of short stories. Students must earn at least a 95% on this IXL to receive full credit.<br><strong><em>2\/6\/20\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Read for Book Project 3!<br><strong><em>2\/7\/20\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Read &amp; work on Book Project 3 &#8211; This is due on April 16th!  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>8th Grade STEM Apps<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013<br>This week, we\u2019ll be exploring and examining how graphic designers use mathematics, graphic design skills, and computer-aided design techniques to create geometric designs, artistic patterns, and architectural structures. Students will be using their skills to convert 2-D and 3-D images to designs using web-based software programs.<br><strong><em>Homework<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0\u2013<\/em><br><strong><em>2\/5\/20\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Work on your sneaker project CAD sketches \u2013 Your sneaker work packet &amp; your SketchUp illustrations (top, side, and font view) final drafts are due at the end of class on Friday (Feb. 7th). These should be complete with measurements, dimensions, and they should be colorful.<br><strong><em>2\/6\/20\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Finish your sneaker project CAD sketches \u2013 Your sneaker work packet &amp; your SketchUp illustrations (top, side, and font view) final drafts are due at the end of class tomorrow (Fri, Feb. 7th).
