We\u2019ll be learning that cells are the building block of life and that all living things are comprised of one or more cells. Throughout this unit, we\u2019ll also be examining the relationship between biotic and abiotic components and we\u2019ll be learning about the difference between viruses, parasites, bacteria, and healthy cells. We\u2019ll also be examining the parts of cells, functions of cells,the characteristics of living things, and we&#8217;ll be learning about the structure and function of body systems.<br><strong><em>Homework<\/em><\/strong><em>&nbsp;\u2013<\/em><br><strong><em>1\/20\/20&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 No School &#8211; MLK Jr. Day \u2013 have a great day!<br><strong><em>1\/21\/20&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 No Class Today &#8211; 1, 2, 3 Schedule for 1\/2 day!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>7th Grade ELA<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013<br>This week, we\u2019ll be working on a poetry &amp; figurative language unit. During this unit, students will examine different types of poems, such as sonnets, haikus, acrostic poems, limericks, and free verse poems, to learn about concepts such as mood, tone, hyperbole, irony, metaphors, and allegory. Students should also continue working on&nbsp;<strong>Book Project 2<\/strong>, which will be&nbsp;<strong>due on Thursday, January 23rd<\/strong>. All of the Book Project 2 instructions, details, deadlines, and the rubric are available in Google Classroom.<br><strong><em>Homework<\/em><\/strong><em>&nbsp;\u2013<\/em><br><strong><em>1\/20\/20&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 No School &#8211; MLK Jr. Day \u2013 have a great day! <br><strong><em>1\/21\/20&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Work on Book Project 2 &amp; bring your book project materials to class tomorrow for a workshop session! Book Project 2 is due this Thursday!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>8th Grade STEM Apps<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013<br>This week, we\u2019ll be exploring and examining how graphic designers use mathematics, graphic design skills, and computer-aided design techniques to create geometric designs, artistic patterns, and architectural structures.
