We\u2019ll be learning that cells are the building block of life and that all living things are comprised of one or more cells. Throughout this unit, we\u2019ll also be examining the relationship between biotic and abiotic components and we\u2019ll be learning about the difference between viruses, parasites, bacteria, and healthy cells. We\u2019ll also be examining the parts of cells, functions of cells, and the characteristics of living things. There will be a\u00a0<strong>Cells Quiz<\/strong>\u00a0on cells, cell parts, cell functions, and cell theory in class on\u00a0<strong>Wednesday, January 15th<\/strong>. Students should study their vocabulary words, class notes, and materials in Google Classroom to prep for the quiz.<br><strong><em>Homework<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0\u2013<\/em><br><strong><em>1\/15\/20\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 NWEA Testing &#8211; have a great day!<br><strong><em>1\/16\/20\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Optional &#8211; Complete Cells Quiz corrections (Due Tomorrow)!<br><strong><em>1\/17\/20\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Have a great weekend!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>7th Grade ELA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013<br>This week, we\u2019ll be working on a poetry &amp; figurative language unit. During this unit, students will examine different types of poems, such as sonnets, haikus, acrostic poems, limericks, and free verse poems, to learn about concepts such as mood, tone, hyperbole, irony, metaphors, and allegory. Students should also continue working on\u00a0<strong>Book Project 2<\/strong>, which will be\u00a0<strong>due on Thursday, January 23rd<\/strong>.
