We\u2019ll be learning that cells are the building block of life and that all living things are comprised of one or more cells. Throughout this unit, we\u2019ll also be examining the relationship between biotic and abiotic components and we\u2019ll be learning about the difference between viruses, parasites, bacteria, and healthy cells. During this unit, students will examine different types of poems, such as sonnets, haikus, acrostic poems, limericks, and free verse poems, to learn about concepts such as mood, tone, hyperbole, irony, metaphors, and allegory. Students will be using their skills to submit entries for the school yearbook contest.
