Students will conduct a series of activities and projects to explore how weather forms and how meteorologists predict weather patterns.&nbsp;Students should also begin studying their weather &amp; climate vocabulary and look over their class notes, handouts, and activities \u2013 we\u2019ll have a&nbsp;<strong>Weather &amp; Climate Quiz on Tuesday, November 26th<\/strong>!<br><strong><em>Homework<\/em><\/strong><em>&nbsp;\u2013<br><\/em><strong><em>11\/25\/19&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Study your Weather &amp; Climate vocab, class notes, handouts, &amp; activities \u2013 We\u2019ll have a Weather &amp; Climate Quiz tomorrow!<br><strong><em>11\/26\/19&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Have a great Thanksgiving break!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>7th Grade ELA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013<br>This week, we\u2019ll be working on our argumentative &amp; persuasive literature unit. Students will read, write, and evaluate different forms of argumentative and persuasive texts, including non-fiction literature, news articles, informational texts, debates, and transcripts. During this unit, students will also write arguments and counter-arguments that involve citing claims, evidence, and reasoning.\u00a0Over the course of the next week, students will begin writing and revising their final argumentative essay \u2013 this will be a full 5-paragraph essay. Students should also begin working on Book Project 2 will be due on Thursday, January 23rd. All of the Book Project 2 instructions, details, deadlines, and the rubric are available in Google Classroom.<br><strong><em>Homework<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0\u2013<\/em><br><strong><em>11\/25\/19\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Finish your argumentative essay body paragraphs 1 &amp; 2 and upload your work to Google Classroom &#8211; this is due by class time on Tuesday, November 26th &#8211; Late work will not be accepted due to the holiday break!<br><strong><em>11\/26\/19\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Start reading for Book Project #2 &amp; Have a great Thanksgiving break! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>8th Grade STEM Apps<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013<br>This week, we\u2019ll be exploring and developing our computational thinking, design, programming, and web development skills, to solve academic puzzles and real-world problems. This week, we\u2019ll also explore web-based presentation software and create our own presentations.&nbsp;Prezi Me presentations will take place during class on Monday, November 25th and Tuesday, November 26th.
