Students will conduct a series of activities and projects to explore how weather forms and how meteorologists predict weather patterns.\u00a0The Water Cycle Quiz corrections are optional, but recommended for any student who scored lower than a 25\/28 on the quiz (students who scored a 26 or above are ineligible for quiz corrections, since they already have an A). In order to earn points for quiz corrections, students must indicate the correct answer and explain, in one sentence, why that answer is correct. Students will earn back 1\/2 credit for every quiz correction that they complete.\u00a0<strong>The Water Cycle Quiz corrections are due by Friday, Nov. 15th at the latest!<\/strong><br><strong><em>Homework<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0\u2013<br><strong>11\/13\/19\u00a0\u2013<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0 Finish your Talking to the Text Marine Layer Activity<br><strong><em>11\/14\/19\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Complete your Climate brochure<br><strong><em>11\/15\/19\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Have a great weekend!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>7th Grade ELA<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013<br>This week, we\u2019ll be working on our argumentative &amp; persuasive literature unit. Students will read, write, and evaluate different forms of argumentative and persuasive texts, including non-fiction literature, news articles, informational texts, debates, and transcripts. During this unit, students will also write arguments and counter-arguments that involve citing claims, evidence, and reasoning.&nbsp;<br><strong><em>Homework<\/em><\/strong><em>&nbsp;\u2013<br><\/em><strong><em>11\/13\/19&nbsp;<\/em>\u2013<\/strong>&nbsp; Complete your Argumentative Mini Essay (Cell Phones in School) &#8211; Your assignment should be handwritten on your final draft worksheet &#8211; Due tomorrow!<br><strong><em>11\/14\/19&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 Work on your Argumentative Debate &#8211; Athlete Salaries.
