This week, we\u2019ll be studying, analyzing, and investigating the hydrologic cycle. Students will conduct a series of activities and experiments to explore how engineers address travel and development-related problems caused by large bodies of water. Students will take a quiz on the Water Cycle & States of Matter on Friday, November 8th<\/strong>.

7th Grade ELA<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013
This week, we\u2019ll be working on our argumentative & persuasive literature unit. Students will read, write, and evaluate different forms of argumentative and persuasive texts, including non-fiction literature, news articles, informational texts, debates, and transcripts. During this unit, students will also write arguments and counter-arguments that involve citing claims, evidence, and reasoning.\u00a0Students will also be working on the first Book Project, which is due in class on Thursday, November 7th! Since students have had a month to work on this project, late book projects will not be accepted for credit.<\/strong>

This week, we\u2019ll be exploring and developing our computational thinking, design, programming, and web development skills, to solve academic puzzles and real-world problems. Students will also be taking the Bebras International Computing Challenge to see how their skills rank against other students across the globe.
