During this time, students will study the scientific method, examine the parts of a science fair display board, discuss lab reports, practice data organization and graphing, gather research, and determine their conclusions. Although we will be working on pieces of the Science Fair project and presentation board in class, students should be completing their science experiment and presentation board at home. <strong><em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong><em><strong>Homework<\/strong><\/em><em>\u00a0\u2013<\/em><em><br \/>\n<strong>5\/8\/19\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Complete your Science Fair photos, data table, graphs, and data analysis paragraph \u2013 Upload these materials to Google Classroom.<br \/>\n<strong>5\/9\/19\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Complete your Science Fair conclusion, future applications, and source citations \u2013 Upload these materials to Google Classroom. Bring all presentation board materials to class tomorrow!<br \/>\n<strong>5\/10\/19<\/strong> \u2013 Finish all outstanding Science Fair project &amp; presentation board tasks. The Science Fair will take place on Monday, May 13<sup>th<\/sup> from 5-7pm. In order to receive full credit, students must attend the Science Fair and present their project. Family members and friends are encouraged to attend!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Additionally<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0\u2013 Students should be working on their Science Fair project at home \u2013 this includes gathering materials, experimenting, testing out ideas, taking photos &amp; collecting data. All project-related work and presentation board construction must be finished by May 13th.\u00a0<\/em><strong><em>The STEM Middle School Science Fair and 8<sup>th<\/sup>Grade Design Fair will take place after school on Monday, May 13<sup>th<\/sup><\/em><em> from 5-7pm.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><br \/>\n<\/em><strong>7th Grade STEM Apps \u2013<\/strong><em><br \/>\n<\/em>This week, the 7<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0graders will kick off a new project-based learning unit called the Cardboard Carnival. Students will be challenged to work in teams to showcase their physics, engineering, and design skills as they create modified, innovative carnival games for fellow classmates to play at a celebration of STEM ingenuity. The Cardboard Carnival will take place during the school day on Friday, May 31<sup>st<\/sup>.<br \/>\n<strong><em>5\/8\/19<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0\u2013 Complete your Cardboard Carnival prototype drawings \u2013 These are due on Thursday, May 9<sup>th<\/sup>.<\/em><em><br \/>\n<strong>5\/9\/19<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Continue to work on your Cardboard Carnival project &amp; sketches.<br \/>\n<strong>5\/10\/19<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Finish all outstanding Science Fair project &amp; presentation board tasks.
