We will also have a quiz on cells, cell parts, and cell functions on Friday, March 1st \u2013 students can prepare for the quiz by studying their science glossary terms, looking over their class notes, and reviewing their recent assignments.<br \/>\n<strong><em>Homework<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0\u2013<\/em><em><br \/>\n<strong>2\/27\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Complete your Cells &amp; The Real World poster &#8211; Presentations are tomorrow in class!<br \/>\n<\/em><em><strong>2\/28\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Study for your Cells Quiz tomorrow!<br \/>\n<\/em><em><strong>3\/1 &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>Have a great weekend! \ud83d\ude42<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>7th Grade STEM Apps \u2013\u00a0<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>This week, the 7th grade students will be putting their 2-D and 3-D modeling skills to the test by working on their Lego Dissection project.\u00a0 Students will gain practice with isometric and multi-view sketching, they will begin organizing and categorizing data, and they will test out their DIY instruction manuals with other teams. By the end of the week, students will create and present a Lego Dissection PowerPoint to the class, to discuss what they have learned through the process of creating a technical design manual.<br \/>\n<strong>Homework<\/strong><em>\u00a0\u2013<br \/>\n<\/em><em><strong>2\/27\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Finish your Lego Dissection Presentation PowerPoint &amp; upload it to Google Classroom tonight &#8211; Presentations will take place in class tomorrow!<br \/>\n<strong>2\/28\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Make sure that your Lego Dissection Project PowerPoint has been uploaded to Google Classroom!<br \/>\n<strong>3\/1 &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>Have a great weekend! \ud83d\ude42<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>8th Grade STEM Apps \u2013<\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>The 8th grade students will continue to gather ideas for the 8th grade Design Fair, which will take place in May 2019. During this time, students will explore topics, conduct research, and identify a real-world problem that will kick off their own Engineering Design Process. We will be working on prototype drawing this week to prepare for the Engineering Design Fair.
