During this time, students will be learning about concepts such as atmospheric conditions, global warming causes and effects, temperature trends, and the greenhouse effect. Students should also review homework assignments at home to refresh the material that we\u2019ve been covering in class and prepare for the NWEA science test.<br \/>\n<em><strong>Homework<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013<br \/>\n<strong>1\/23\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 No School Today \u2013 Snow\/Ice Day<br \/>\n<\/em><em><strong>1\/24\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 No HW \u2013 NWEA testing this week \u2013 Have a great day!<br \/>\n<strong>1\/25\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 No Homework \u2013 Have a great weekend! \ud83d\ude42<br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>STEM Apps \u2013<br \/>\n<\/strong>This week, we\u2019ll be working on a CAD Illustration unit, where students will be challenged to use drafting, architectural, and design skills to transform images from two-dimensional or three-dimensional sketches to Computer-Aided Designs. During this time, students will work on a shipping container challenge using the CAD program SketchUp.<\/p>\n<p>Considering the unexpected snow day on Wednesday, January 23rd, I will be adjusting our project timeline a bit to accommodate for the time away from school.\u00a0 A <strong>rough\/working draft<\/strong> of the shipping container challenge design needs to be uploaded to Google Classroom by the end of the school day <strong>(2:15pm) on Friday, January 25th<\/strong> &#8211; the rough draft will be\u00a0graded as a formative assignment based on effort and participation. We will be extending this project into the week of January 28th, so the <strong>final draft <\/strong>of the shipping container design will need to be submitted to Google Classroom by the end of the school day<strong> (2:15pm) on Friday, February 1st<\/strong>.
