We\u2019ll continue to explore the topic of thermal energy in discussions, activities, and experiments over the course of the week. Today during class, students began building model homes for our thermal energy home heating project.\u00a0 Our goal is to design and construct a model home that will conserve thermal energy; we\u2019ll be testing out our models on Friday, November 9th.<strong>\u00a0Parents<\/strong>\u2013 If you are willing and able to donate any lab supplies for our project, this isn\u2019t mandatory, but it is certainly appreciated. Please see my previous blog post (dated Saturday, November 3rd) for details.<br \/>\n<em><strong>Homework<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013<br \/>\n<strong>11\/7\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Keep working on your Home Heating Lab Report.<br \/>\n<\/em><em><strong>11\/8<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0 Continue\u00a0working on your Home Heating Lab Report (this will be due at the end of class on Friday, after we finish up our home heating evaluations).<br \/>\n<\/em><strong><br \/>\nSTEM Apps \u2013<br \/>\n<\/strong>This week, we\u2019ll be kicking off our Modeling &amp; Design unit, where students will be challenged to use drafting, architectural, and design skills to transform images from two-dimensional sketches to three-dimensional models.
