We\u2019ll continue to explore the topic of thermal energy in discussions, activities, and experiments over the course of the week. On Wednesday during class, students will begin building model homes for our thermal energy home heating project.\u00a0 Our goal is to design and construct a model home that will conserve thermal energy; we&#8217;ll be testing out our models on Friday, November 9th.<strong> Parents<\/strong> &#8211; If you are willing and able to donate any lab supplies for our upcoming project, this isn&#8217;t mandatory, but it is certainly appreciated. Please see my previous blog post (dated Saturday, November 3rd) for details.<br \/>\n<em><strong>Homework<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013<br \/>\n<strong>11\/5\u00a0<\/strong>\u2013 Finish your Builder&#8217;s Notebook blueprints &amp; designs (Step 1-3) and bring in any donated lab materials on Wednesday.<br \/>\n<\/em><em><strong>11\/6<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 No School Today &#8211; No homework! \ud83d\ude42<br \/>\n<\/em><strong><br \/>\nSTEM Apps \u2013<br \/>\n<\/strong>This week, we\u2019ll be kicking off our Modeling &amp; Design unit, where students will be challenged to use drafting, architectural, and design skills to transform images from two-dimensional sketches to three-dimensional models.
